1. Scriptures
We believe that the Scriptures, Old and New Testaments, are inspired by God and are the full revelation of God to man. The Scriptures are the sole and final authority for all matters of faith and conduct. (2 Tim. 3:15 -17; 2 Pet 1:20-21).
2. God
We believe that there is one true God who has revealed Himself as the eternally self-existent I AM, the Creator of the Universe and the Redeemer of mankind. God has further revealed Himself as a Triune, being manifested as Father, Son and Holy Spirit- each co-eternal in being, co-identical in nature, coequal in power and glory, and having the same attributes and perfections. (Deut. 6:4; Gen. 1:1; John 1:1-3; Isa. 43:10-11; Matt. 28:18-20; Luke 3:21-22 John 14:10, 26; 2 Cor. 13:14)
3. Jesus
We believe in the Lord Jesus Christ.
4. The Holy Spirit
We believe that the ministry of the Holy Spirit is to glorify the Lord Jesus; to convict of sin, of righteousness and of judgment, to regenerate the sinner and to administer the life of Christ. (John 16:8)
We also believe that:
5. Man
We believe man was created in the image and likeness of God, but through Adam’s sin became alienated from God; man acquired a sinful nature and came under the sentence of death. Mankind apart from God, is spiritually depraved and unable to attain divine righteousness. (Gen 1: 26-27; Rom 3:23,5:12-21,7:13-25; Eph. 2:1-3)
6. Salvation
We believe man’s only hope of redemption and salvation from sin and its penalty is by God’s grace received through faith in the blood of Christ shed on the cross of Calvary. (Acts 4:12; Rom 5:11, 10:8-10; Eph 2:8-9; Heb 9:12-22)
7. The Ordinances of the Church
Baptism in Water
The ordinance of baptism by immersion is commanded by the Scriptures. All who repent and believe on Christ as Saviour and Lord are to be baptized. Thus they declare to the world that they have died with Christ and that they also have been raised with Him to walk in newness of life. (Matthew 28:19, Mark 16:16, Acts 10:47-48, Romans 6:4)
Holy Communion
We believe the Lord’s Supper or Holy Communion is an Ordinance of the Church in which all believers, by partaking in faith, share in fellowship with God and one another and commemorate the suffering and death of Our Lord Jesus Christ until He returns. (Matt. 26:26-28; 1 Cor. 11:28-32)
8. Healing
We believe that divine healing and health are provided for in God’s Covenants and are an integral part of the Gospel and the practice of the Church. (Ex 15:23-26; Ps 103:1-3; Isa. 53:4-5; Matt. 8:16-17; Acts 4:30,5:16:1 Cor. 12:9; James 5:14-15; I Pet. 2:24)
9. Missions
We believe that God has given the church a great commission to proclaim the Gospel to all nations so that there might be a great multitude from every nation, tribe, ethnic group, and language group who believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. As ambassadors of Christ, we must use all available means to go to the foreign nations and not wait for them to come to us. (Matt. 28:19-20; Mark 16:15; Luke 24:46-48; John 20:21; Acts 1:8; 2 Cor. 5:20)
10. Giving
We believe that every Christian, as a steward of that portion of God’s wealth entrusted to him, is obligated to financially support KMOCF. We believe that God has given us the biblical principle of tithing as a basis for giving, but that every Christian should also give other offerings sacrificially and cheerfully to the support of the church, the relief of those in need, and the spread of the Gospel. (Gen. 14:20; Prov. 3:9-10; Mai. 3:10-12 Acts 4:34-37; 1 Cor. 16:2; 2 Cor. 9:6-7; Gal. 6:6; Eph. 4:28; 1 Tim. 5:17-18; 1 John 3:17)
